By assembling, prepping, and directing an a-team for every episode

IDEA | Idea? Well, I had no idea. No clue what I was doing, at least not in the beginning. I'd never done anything like this when I was asked to join the producing team but I took the proverbial leap and went for it. And, four seasons later, I think I got the hang of it. Here's how we made the sausage:

Work closely with a core producing team and the network to develop 52 shows each season. Own a quarter to a third of the episodes from start to finish. Research content, find and vet potential guests, write show rundowns, prep cast (host, scholar, guest, studio audience) before and during production, direct on set, and assist editors through post-production.

CREATIVE | 10 episodes (season 3), 18 episodes (season 4), 12 episodes (season 5), 12 episodes (season 6)

ROLE | development, scripting, story producer, director, post-production

All episodes from seasons 3, 4, 5 & 6 available at BYUtv.org.
